The Meat and The Magic
The meat and the magic.
That’s one of the simplest ways I’ve found to describe working with AI.
The magic is the machine: speed, pattern recognition, language, structure, remixing, and the strange ability to show you doors you didn’t know were there.
But the meat is us.
Our lived experience.
Our judgment.
Our taste.
Our memory.
Our ethics.
Our “no, that’s not right” and “yes, that’s the thing.”
AI can generate options, but it doesn’t know what matters.
That part still belongs to the human.
The goal isn’t to worship the magic or reject it. The goal is to build a better relationship between human depth and machine pattern.
Because magic without meat becomes slop.
And meat without magic can get tired, stuck, or isolated.
The future isn’t replacement.
It’s recursion.
Human depth. Machine pattern. Human judgment. Machine expansion.
Back and forth.
That’s the Dyad.
